First Time Serving as a Teaching Leader
As some of you might know, recently I approached my pastors with hopes of becoming mentored and trained for ministry. I mention to them that I believed that I was gifted to teach. And that God was moving me to and developing me for such a role.
After meeting with the pastor of ministries, I was placed into a class that our church calls “New Members Class.” It was a class for those Christians who have decided to commit themselves to our church. There are 6 total classes in all. And each class was divided into sections dealing with different aspects of the church and what doctrines the church teaches.
I was given the privilege to teach one of the sections. It was called “Sharing the Good News.” I posted the short sermon which followed a booklet outline that the church provided. I was delighted at the turn out and pleased that God used me.
This was sort of a testing exam for me so that the leaders would get an idea of my giftedness (or lack thereof).
